Stamattina indovinate dove siamo andati: a fare un corso di sushi! La compagnia di Nina ha organizzato una lezione al Crowne Plaza Hotel, tenuta da uno chef giapponese. Io non mi ero iscritto, ma ho deciso all’ultimo momento a provare a imbucarmi. La sala era al trentesimo piano dell’hotel, l’ultimo, un gran bell’hotel. Sul cornicione fuori c’erano moltissimi fiori, e per forza qualcuno deve prendersi cura di loro; infatti a un certo punto abbiamo visto il giardiniere annaffiarli, senza il gancio di sicurezza, con una scioltezza che sembrava che i fiori fossero a terra.
Comunque dicevamo, mancava un partecipante e quindi sarebbe stato sufficiente far finta di essere lui. Però, qualche minuto dopo aver iniziato a rollare il sushi, è arrivato questo signore con la moglie, e quindi mi hanno scoperto; l’unica cosa da fare è stata di dividere il lavoro con Nina. Dopo il sushi abbiamo imparato a fare anche il teriyaki ed il riso fritto, più dei pancake per dessert.
Ovviamente alla fine ce semo magnati tutto, abbiamo portato a casa le ricette e siamo tornati, non dopo essere passati per KLCC, dove ho preso una giacca che avevo adocchiato qualche giorno fa, ed è stato amore a prima vista…
Guess where we went this morning: sushi class! Nina’s company organized a course at Crowne Plaza Hotel, lectured by a Japanese chef. I didn’t sign up for this, but I decided to infiltrate at the last moment. The room was on the 30th floor of the hotel, the last one, a very nice hotel. They also have flowers on the eave, and for sure someone have to take care of them; in fact at one point we saw the gardener out there, without safety hook, with such an ease that he looked like the flowers were in a garden.
Anyway, we were saying, one of the participants was missing, so it was enough to pretend I was him. But few minutes after we started to roll up the sushi, he arrived with the wife and so they discovered me; the only thing I could do was to share the work with Nina. After the sushi we learnt to prepare also teriyaki and fried rice, plus a pancake for dessert.
Obviously in the end we ate everything, we took home the recipes, not before passing by KLCC, where I bought a jacket I saw few days ago, and it was love at first sight…
