Stamattina sono arrivato in ufficio, e nell’intero edificio non c’era anima viva, o almeno così credevo. Arrivato all’ultimo gradino, mi trovo faccia a faccia con questa lucertolina, che se ne stava immobile a fissare il vuoto; sono passato, niente. Le ho fatto una foto col flash, niente. Un’altra foto da più vicino e niente. Non ha battuto ciglio, e come potete vedere se ne è rimasta lì, mimetica come la Farinati quando va a caccia di scoop (come direbbero molti dei miei ex compagni di università).

This morning I arrived at the office, and it was totally empty, or at least I thought so. Arrived at the end of the stairs, I found myself face to face with this little lizard, staying there starring at the universe; I passed by, nothing. I shoot her with the flash, nothing. Another picture from closer, and nothing. It didn’t make a move, and as you can see it staid there, mimetic like my university friend, “La Farinati”, when she’s hunting for gossip news.
