Come vi avevo preannunciato ieri sono venuti a pranzo il mio capo e la sua famiglia. Prima di sederci a tavola siamo andati in piscina, per la gioia dei bambini, ma poco dopo essere entrati in acqua è iniziato il solito temporale di mezza giornata, e così abbiamo iniziato a preparare il pranzo. Non serve dire che tutti sono stati conquistati dalla mia cucina, specialmente dalle lasagne. Tra un piatto e l’altro sono volate tre ore circa, e per dessert ci hanno portato la mia torta preferita di Secret Recipe, benché Nina avesse preparato due torte la sera prima. La torta era parecchio grande e quindi ne abbiamo mangiata solo metà, poi gli ospiti ci hanno lasciati per esigenze di Harris, il figlio di un anno. Ormai si erano fatte le cinque, perciò dopo aver pulito casa e lavato i piatti ci siamo concessi qualche ora di meritato riposo, più un paio di episodi di The Office (ho sentito che c’è anche in Italia su MTV, ve lo raccomando, anche se è un po’ particolare).

Stasera invece di nuovo cinema, questa volta guarderemo The Departed, che dal cast sembra promettere bene.

Penso che questa settimana sarà molto positiva, perché avremo due torte e mezza da finire per colazione, e chi non inizia la giornata di buon umore in questi casi?

As I told you yesterday my boss and his family came for lunch to our place. Before sitting around the table we went down to the swimming pool, for the children happiness, but short time after going in the water the usual midday storm started, so we started to prepare the lunch. I don’t need to say that they loved what I prepared, especially lasagne. So three hours passed fast while eating, and for dessert they brought us my favourite cake from Secret Recipe, despite Nina had prepared two cakes the night before. The cake was quite big, so we only had half, after which the guests left for some needs of Harris, the one year old son. It was already five , so after cleaning the house and the dishes we got few hours relaxing, plus a couple of episodes of The Office.

This evening cinema again, this time we watch The Departed, that looking at the cast seems promising.

I think that this week will be very positive, because we will have two and a half cakes to eat for breakfast, and who doesn’t start the day in good mood in cases like this?
