Ieri in ufficio è stata una giornata divertente, ho lavorato a stretto contatto col mio capo, mentre fuori cadeva una pioggia torrenziale. Sembrava quasi una giornata d’inverno, e ad una certa ora sua moglie ci ha portato il pranzo preso da Burger King. Sembrava proprio di essere come gli stacanovisti americani che si vedono nei film, a mangiare cibo spazzatura davanti al computer. Devo dire però che ho preferito di gran lunga il prodotto di Burger King rispetto a McDonald, alla faccia di tutti treni che hanno riempito di porcherie (ovviamente ciò non toglie che preferisca una pastasciutta al ragù ad un pranzo del fast food, ma quello passava il convento).

Nel tardo pomeriggio mi sono incontrato con Nina a KLCC per andare al cinema a vedere The Covenant; un bidone totale, dello stesso livello di molti telefilm per adolescenti tipo Buffy. L’unico motivo per cui abbiamo rischiato è stato che i biglietti erano gratis e non c’era un’alternativa. Dopo il film abbiamo cenato alla food court a KLCC, e per la prima volta in Malesia ho mangiato il Kebab, mentre Nina ha optato per la cucina giapponese. Tutto ok, ma non vedo l’ora di preparare la mia pasta stasera per cena…

Yesterday at work was a funny day, I worked head to head with my boss, while outside a huge rainfall was coming down. It seemed like it was winter, and at a some hour his wife brought us the lunch taken at Burger King. It really felt to be like American workaholics, eating junk food in front of a computer. I have to say that I much preferred Burger King to McDonald’s, no matter all the mucks they fill the train with (obviously it doesn’t mean I don’t prefer a pasta Bolognese than a fast food lunch, but this what was available).

In the late afternoon I met with Nina in KLCC to go to watch The Covenant; a really crappy movie, at the same level as “Buffy the vampire slayer” and other teenagers American series. The only reason we took the risk was that the tickets were free, and there was no other alternative. After the movie we had dinner in KLCC food court, and for the first time in Malaysia I ate a kebab, while Nina had Japanese. Everything was ok, but I am really looking forward to cook my pasta this evening for dinner…
