Pochi giorni fa, avete visto la foto che ha postato Massimo per vendicare Materazzi, l’oggetto della sua vendetta era Adrien, che è venuto qui per un paio di notti, senza sapere che Massimo ha pianificato la testata, con la sua maglia dell’Italia ed il suo amato tricolore al fianco.

Per quanto affermi di essere una persona amante della natura, mi è difficile alzarmi dal comodo divano di casa, o dalla fresca aria condizionata a KLCC. Ma con Adrien in giro, ho dovuto indossare la mia divisa da “aria aperta” (vale a dire un paio di sandali invece dei tacchi), e prendere una bottiglia di acqua minerale. In una delle sue visite precedenti durante la quale voleva andare in spiaggia, siamo finiti in una discarica piena di ferraglia, e un paio di navi da carico attraccate poco distante. Questa volta, abbiamo trovato una piccola foresta molto vicina a casa, dove dopo 45 minuti di camminata c’è una cascata perfetta per un bagno fresco. So anche che c’è lo zoo nazionale vicino a casa nostra, così dopo dieci mesi ho pensato che fosse il momento giusto per visitarlo. L’ultima volta che sono stata allo zoo avevo otto anni, e a volte è bello ricordare come sono fatte le giraffe dal vivo.

Un’altra cosa, Anai ha traslocato giusto sabato. Ha ricevuto una marea di consigli dalla comunità filippina nel suo ufficio, il più critico dei quali è che le prime cose ad entrare nella nuova casa devono essere del riso e del sale, in modo da assicurare una vita prospera. Il suo appartamento è spazioso, più che sufficiente per tre persone, anche se in questo momento sono solo in due. Il suo pensiero però è il colore del divano, che è rosso e blu, tanto che ho pensato che potrebbe abbinarci dei cuscini con sole/stelle/luna gialli, et voilà! avrebbe la bandiera malese e quella filippina in salotto.

Mi sento come se stessi ripetendo cose che ha già scritto Massimo! Penso che sia quello che succede quando due persone vivono insieme, alla fine sentite le stesse storie, ed è una bella sfida alla creatività!

A few days ago, you saw that picture with Massimo avenging Materazzi, the object of his revenge was Adrien, who came here for a night, without knowing that Massimo has been planning for that moment when he can do a headbutt, in full Italian gear flanked by his beloved Italian flag.   

As much as I profess to be a nature-loving person, I find it hard to get away from the comforts of my sofa at home, or the air-conditioned coolness in KLCC. But with Adrien around, it is a necessity to don my outdoor gear (i.e. a pair of slippers instead of high-heels), and a bottle of mineral water. In one of his previous visits where he intended to go to a nearby beach, we ended up in a junkyard full of scrap metals, and a couple of cargo ships docked around the corner. This time around, we found a little forest which is very near our place, where after a 45-minute walk, there lies a waterfall perfect for a cool bath. I also know that there is the national zoo near our apartment, thus, after ten months of knowing, I thought that it would be a good time for seeing. The last time I have been to a zoo was when I was eight year old, and so, sometimes, it is nice to remember how a giraffe looks like, in person.

Indeed, Anai just moved in to her new apartment Saturday. She got a handful of advice from the Filipino community in her office, the most critical of which is that the first object that should enter her home would be some rice and salt, to have a prosperous life.  The house is spacious, nice enough for three people, though at this moment, there is only two of them. Her issue though is that the color of the sofa, which is red and blue, though I thought they could be easily fixed if she have some yellow sun/moon/star throw pillows, then voila! she has the Philippine/Malaysian flag in her living room.

I feel that I am repeating everything that Massimo has said already! I think this is what happens when two people live together, you end up having the same story, which is a big challenge in creativity!
