Finalmente ieri sono riuscito, dopo quattro mesi, ad andare giù in piscina per prendere il sole. Era da tempo che ci provavo ma, causa meteo sfavorevole ed impegni vari, non ne avevo mai avuto la possibilità. Sì perché qui per i primi 3 mesi pioveva tutti i giorni, ed in piscina ci andavo solo nel pomeriggio, quando il sole è già dietro ai grattacieli. Proprio a causa degli edifici il sole raggiunge la piscina solamente poche ore al giorno, tra le dieci di mattina e le quattro del pomeriggio.

Ora sono come i Ringo, bianco da una parte e scuro dall’altra, spero il prossimo weekend di equilibrare la tinta… La cosa bella tra l’altro è che a quell’ora non ci sono bambini che urlano e corrono ovunque, quindi si può anche nuotare tranquillamente.

Da ieri Analyn si è trasferita nel suo nuovo appartamento, molto più vicino al suo posto di lavoro, e Nina ha detto che è molto carino. Trovare casa qui non dev'essere difficile, tirano su grattacieli in continuazione, elavorano perfino di notte (a differenza dell'Italia, dove appena fnno 30°C i lavori si fermano).

Oggi invece mi dedico alla focaccia coi pomodorini, spero che esca una cosa decente, e cercherò di copiare il pollo al limone di Nando (Ristorante a KLCC che serve quasi solo pollo). Ci siamo appena stati, ma giuro che a KLCC di domenica non ci vado più fino alla fine dell’alta stagione: oggi non si poteva camminare un metro senza trovarsi incolonnati, sembra quasi che i turisti invece di visitare i posti interessanti di KL si rintanino nei centri commerciali, mah…

Finally yesterday, after four months, I managed to go to the swimming pool and sunbath. It was since a lot of time that I was trying but, due to bad weather and various appointments, I was able to go swimming only in the late afternoon, when the sun is already behind the skyscrapers. Because of the buildings indeed, the sun reaches the swimming pool only few hours per day, between 10 am and 4 pm.

Now I am like the Ringo (black & white Italian biscuits), white at one side and dark the other side, I hope next weekend to equilibrate my tan… The nice thing, furthermore, is that at that time there are no children messing up everywhere, so it is also possible to swim quietly.

From yesterday Analyn moved in her new apartment, much closer to her office, and Nina said it is very pretty. I think here it's not hard to find an appartment, construction is continuous, they work even by night (differently from Italy where when it's 30°C works stop).

Today instead I am dedicating to focaccia with tomatoes, I hope it will come out decent, and I will try to copy Nando’s chicken with lemon (Nando is a restaurant in KLCC, where they serve mainly chicken). We’ve just been there, but I swear that I will never go to KLCC again on Sunday until the end of the high season: today we couldn’t even walk one meter without finding ourselves jammed, it looks like tourists hole up in malls instead of visiting KL beauties, mah…
