La scorsa settimana, come ha già scritto Massimo, siamo usciti con Yahya e Paul per qualche drink da Santini. E durante quell’incontro Yahya ci ha detto che si sposa. Eh sì, il primo amico ad essere incastrato. Continuava a chiedermi quando mi sposo io, ma penso fosse solo perché “le disgrazie non vengono mai da sole”. Oops, Non l’ho detto io… Comunque, mi fa piacere che si sposi. Primo, perché spero che la smetterà di autoinvitarsi a casa mia per scroccare la cena, e secondo, perché spero che comprerà qualche sedia in più per il suo appartamento, così può invitarci lui a cena. Ad ogni modo, sembra che non l’abbia ancora scampata, perché si è già invitato a pranzo per sabato, così verrà insieme a Paul, ma di sicuro non li lascerò mettere piede a casa mia se non si presentano almeno con una cassa di birra.

Parlando di legami, un altro amico e collega si sposa, e mi ha invitato in Pakistan per la cerimonia in dicembre. Mi piacerebbe proprio andarci, ma visto che abbiamo già in programma un viaggio in Italia nello stesso periodo, mi risulta impossibile. Il mio amico Adrien, ogni volta che ci sentiamo, è invitato a un matrimonio. Sembra proprio che la gente inizi a sposarsi, che sorpresa…

This week, as Massimo already mentioned, we met with Yahya and Paul for a couple of drinks at Santini’s. And it was during this time that Yahya mentioned that he was getting married. Oh yes, first friend to get hitched. He kept asking me when I will also get married, but I think it was only because misery loves company. Oops, I didn’t say that…. Anyway, I am glad he is going to be married. First, because I am hoping that he will stop inviting himself to my house for free dinner, and second, because I am hoping that he will buy some more chairs in his apartment, so he can invite us for a free dinner. Well, it seems I haven’t escaped yet, because he already has invited himself for lunch on Saturday, and so he will be coming over with Paul, but for sure they cannot enter my house without bringing a box of beer.

Well, speaking of getting hitched, another friend and colleague is getting married, and he has invited me to Pakistan for his wedding in December. I really would like to come but since we already scheduled a trip to Italy around that time, it would be virtually impossible. My friend Adrien, everytime I have a chat with him, is going to a wedding. It really seems that people are starting to get married, what a surprise…
